“You walked into the party like you were walking on to a yacht!” CARLY SIMON: “YOU’RE SO VAIN” - Tempo analysis of minor key pop at a comfort speed

These are some speed charts from the original studio version of the Carly Simon classic You’re So Vain.
“You’re So Vain” falls at the slower end of lust. As you can see, the song was recorded without the use of any metronome or substitute therefore, so the speed of the measures vary from 100-110 1/2 beats per minute.

Like many songs at the speed of lust, the song is in a minor key. For those who don’t know, “minor” keys are have the dark, sad sound, as they are based on minor chords and minor scales. Songs as Riders On The Storm, The Sounds Of Silence, White Room, California Dreaming: all in a minor key. It is impossible to say why. It is easy to guess, though, that a lustful sound, sometimes pure desire, sometimes sexual sometimes just a [life wish], sounds more intense with the darker sound of a minor key. Minor keys: In The Air Tonight, White Room, Layla at the speed of Enthusiasm, Lust and foreboding, respectively—would sound absurd in D major rather than the dark D minor.

Also, it’s not fair to put that out about Layla without explaining part two: Db major, a part written by the drummer separately where Clapton convinced him to make it part two of the song. It is almost played out—in Goodfellas, it is played almost on a loop. The key is Db major—always a wet sounding dark key—with a bridge in Bb minor.

The Cavalry Baptist Church on E Street in Asbury Park, Daniel Powter’s acoustic BAD DAY, meanspeed=67.7 bpm, Mission Springsteen accomplished

Back from: Mission Springsteen. As you know, in matters such as that with one as that of the “Boss.” Long story short: thank you to all the people of Asbury Park, Bradley Beach and Belmar New Jersey who were fantastically fantastic hosts for Mission Springsteen—a secret mission about which I hope to be able to speak in an open manner. For now, suffice to say: Bruce is “totally fine with” my site and the use of his songs on the site—as long as I do not start publishing lyric and chord sheets. While waiting around to meet Bruce and his most pleasant and friendly entourage (more like good friends than a “posse”), I had time to prepare these charts which feature two things: the two 3-D graphs and the linear graph show Daniel Powter performing Bad Day, an iTunes download, alone with a piano accompaniment only. As you can see from the chart on the top which compares the two performances: one is a sequencer in repetitive time, the other in Powter’s head—pure live time. Is one better than the other? No. Is one way more “pure” than the other—hey, isn’t a metronome cheating, didn’t Powter obviously cheat in the “rock” version??? NO! Playing with a sequencer is as tricky and difficult and musically demanding as playing live, and those musicians who can play either way—Metheny, Mays, Collins, Gabriel, Bowie, The Stones, Dave Matthews band, Clapton, Townsend, John, Sting, Springsteen—these people make it. There used to be a commercial in the 1970s pitching Memorex Brand cassette recording tape. The slogan, after a recording of an opera singer was so well duplicated on the cassette that the reproduction of the high notes shatters a wine glass: “Is it live, or it Memorex?” As per the metronome, the best bands and musicians, a few mentioned above, have musicians who have all trained themselves to have fun playing on a sequenced track or have fun just playing live—and what happens is is that often the sequencer frees up the playing, and such recording sounds more Live tan a real live recording than is trying to Stay on Beat. These are the mean frequencies for the acoustic version of Bad Day, calibrated as my team’s undisclosed vehicle passed the Cavalry Baptist Church on E Street in Asbury Park. The song : My City Of Ruins was blasting in my head. Asbury needs a Bruce Museum on E Street—an amazing place—bring your bathing suit, etc—2 blocks from the sea. Please notice, as Sting and a list that could go from Paul Simon to Bob Marley, the disproportionate number of artists who live almost next to an ocean? Is it the salt in the water that increases creativity? I think it is a possibility. Anyway, the breakdown of Bad Day, live, acoustically: Meanspeed=67.7 beats per minute
mean-emotion=ceremony
average beat=0.886 seconds
mean slow phase=1.128 cycles per second
corresponding pitch=288.85 Hertz, 71.5 cents above D4=293.665 Hz and 28.5 cents below D#4/Eb4=311.127.

United States History - Senator Barack Hussein Obama, Esq. Elected President. In Washington, D.C., 3 Meanspeed Music Graphs on the Surreal Morning After.

MEANSPEED MUSIC CONCEPTUAL TEMPO ILLUSTRATION

MEANSPEED MUSIC CONCEPTUAL TEMPO ILLUSTRATION

The next President of the United States will be Barack Hussein Obama, Esq. These meanspeed graphs, 3 of hundreds I have synthesized during the 2 year campaign, pulled at me as I walked through a surreal Washington, D.C.

Simplify, Clarify, Hold Your Money as You Already OWN what you need - The Good News of the Meanspeed Conjecture Spreads in U.S., Internationally

At Meanspeeed Music, my [tiny] staff and I (no joke please!) are here not to sell and make you poor.

The idea is that you can achieve comfort, control and confidence simply by PROPER understanding and use of the music you ALREADY OWN.  Yes, occasionally you will need 99¢ to buy that song that completes the set that will soothe, psyche or calm - if you haven’t the 99¢, please write us at meanspeed@gmail.com and WE will lay out the 99¢ and gift the song to you.  What are teh other tempo sights doing for you?  SELLING YOU THINGS TO MAKE THEMSELVES FEEL GOOD.

Meanspeed Music Tempo Conceptual tempo graph - BEFORE HE CHEATS - Carrie Underwood

We feel good because we have a free, simple, practically too-good-to-true theory and application that saves you money, hurts the demonic “pharmaceutical” companies where it hurts, allows you to understand how you can control your mental attitude by tempo awareness.

Like many of you, my original job as an attorney was outsourced: to computer software.  So said, this happened by 1992, and it took me three years to pull out of the violent disappointment that the profession for which I had studied for 24 years in school was gone.  My specialty in the law was a wicked short term and long term memory which I had planned to use as a litigator.  However, by the time my 1977 plans were made possible, the need for such a wicked (boy am I humble!) memory was not needed.  Believe it or not: Lexis/Nexis® and the rest of the digital information keepers did a better job than my brain.  Instead of the Atticus Finch-like Supreme Court attorney I had planned on being, I am small potatos.  Speeding tickets, Open Container violations, and settling out of court had me feeling for at least 5 years, well, like many of you feel now.

However, once I realized that as Mick Jagger and Keith Richards stated: YOU CAN’T ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU WANT, I adjusted.  Because my huge legal practice turned out to be a tiny Philadelphia-lawyer home office in the basement, I had time to work on the meanspeed music conjecture, which I discovered as a natural pattern in nature and my tempo catalogue of the original 10,000 songs and their precise tempi and the descriptions, accounts and detail, and, most importantly, the RESTRICTION from 10 billion to 10 thousand songs that describe and prove same which was copyrighted in the UNITED STATES in 1992.

I met some people that helped me make my presentations and offer of concept to you possible.  Mr. Mark Pitman of Leafspan.com, employees of International Business Machines and the Ramon Castroviejo Fund of New York and Spain were the main people who helped me take a concept that, well, if it was not mine I’d grab in a second (!) from my tiny New York Apartment and bring it to you, and especially top my wife and my parents, I have eternal gratitude.  I have 12 nieces and nephews and the perfect wife, two cats, the Donovan McNabb Memorial Animal Wildlife Preserve to love.  My children: all the work I have put in to and will continue to develop into the best free idea on the internet in regard to music, tempo and comforting one’s mind through music speed awareness.

Oh, yes, to your question: I thought about trying to profit from my work at first.  I was born, raised and have been and will die a citizen of the  UNITED STATES OF AMERICA - nothing is guaranteed to us, therefore good ideas, if not turned into gadgets or gimmicks that can be sold for a “profit.”  After a long two sessions will a intellectual property law form recommended to me by Carter Winslow Thompson of the Episcopal Church of the Heavenly Rest, we decided that:

1) the work I had done could *only* be done by human ear;

2) because the meanspeed conjecture cannot be applied in an algorithm, I had no more to sell than merchandise;

3) the work was phenomenal.  As one attorney loudly said, “Man, it’s too bad about the money thing, but since the work could not be copied by algorithm, a fact strongly confirmed bythe most helpful people at I.B.M., the recommendation: Put the theory out there, forget all money and, in his words, “go for the glory.”

The glory is in the pure joy of having discovered something that helps simplify mental health care at a time when the medical and pharmaceutical communities are literally trying to break the back of the world with their collective greed and impotence.  Guess what?  As soon as I gave up the money thing - even money to cover my overhead costs, good things began to happen, and things at Meanspeed Music have never been better.  For the money issue I especially thank the Reverend James L. Burns of the Episcopal Church of the Heavenly Rest and Mr. Paul Vernon Brewington, Junior, two righteous men men who essentially said: do the right thing, and disregard the money and focus on helping others.  Guess what?  James and Paul were spot on correct.  So thanks to Carter, James, Paul, and many others.

From a start of having people of interested in my page - NOT - last month was HUGE for us as more people than ever began to consider the radical yet simple, testable and repeatable elements of meanspeed on the internet and beyond.  I cannot tell you some of the “names” who use this theory for psychological self-control, not because I do not like to occasionally name drop - see above! - but because this theory is for YOU to use in private.  Hint - well, no.  big names.

Across the world, our visitors have caused my personally, with the help of DomainIt.com, to pay for the *price* of hosting of a second website because the traffic is so heavy.  Never have I been happier to spend “money for nothing.”

Internationally, this is a visitor’s list from the main site at meanspeed.com for the month of October only.  I thank you all for visiting and hope to see you come again.

The Ultimate In the 1970s Psychology of ME - Paul Anka: (You’re) Having My Baby - Deterministic Tempo Analysis with Graphics and YouTube demonstration

Paul Anka’s (You’re) Having My Baby came out after Roe versus wade, abortion was legal in the United States. At the same time, the birth control pill, also known as the “Pill” gave women the ability to have unlimited sex without fear of pregnancy.
Meanspeed Music Education Tempo Graphics. © 2008. Use By Permission.

AT THE SAME TIME the 1970s was to me the Me generation. Everything was me, me, me! So in contrast to the 1960s song by Diana Ross, “Love Child, ” who was ‘never meant to be’ and the parents of the child had to prepare for the “shotgun wedding,” by 1975 abortion was already being used as birth control. Hence, in this song about two unmarried lovers keeping an unexpected love baby was NOT about the baby.

It was all about Paul Anka and Odea Coates! It would be illegal to give out all the lyrics to the song, but when Paul repeats, “Having my baby/what a lovely way of showing how much you love me!/Having my baby/What a lovely way of showing what you’re thinking of me!” where Odea Coates’ response is “I’m a woman in love love what it’s doing to me,” again, it is not about the bay, it is about Odea’s sexual lust for Anka, indeed, one of the 150 sexiest men in Atlantic City as voted in NEW JERSEY magazine.

These are some some I’ve done before on a comparison graph. As you can see, songs of laid back confident grace, as in Daniel Powter’s Bad Day where he joyfully sings: You’ve had a bad day? Just sing a SAD song to turn it around. I bring this up to reiterate that the expression of the performer will not necessarily effect you in the way same performance is expressing! As Sting has always said, when depressed, a happy song just makes you more depressed!

Above, an intense Paul Anka decides that abortion is no way to believe in life.

If you want to make use of the BPM column on your iTunes screen before it uses you, simply highlight the song and press Command/I. You will get 5 tabbed screens. For this, like most songs as of now, you will get NO bpm. Simply go to the Info tab and fill the speed in yourself. Speed is a tricky thing - do not let the Mixmeister crowd fool you. If it were so easy to get BPM ten Apple would have had a slate or writable newton-esque product developed. They do not. Why not? Some things are so personal that even Apple can’t measure them *yet*.

The most interesting rhyme in this song, that was a #1 song in 1975, is rhyming ‘through’ with ‘do’ as the couple boldly recaps their decision not to have an abortion. Paul sings, “You didn’t have to keep it/wouldn’t put you
through it/you could could have swept it from your life but you wouldn’t do it/No you wouldn’t do it!”
So this song, proudly sung with comfort, composure and poise only spikes up to the asymptotic meanspeed line of √3/5 second (77.459…bpm with .77459…seconds per beat), *during* the recount of what they could have done: “swept” it from their lives. Here the word “swept” is highly charged in that most know that a vacuum method is used for abortions at certain points of fetal development. Really pounds that visual into you (me, anyway).
As noted, since the average tempo is 75 1/2 beats per minute, it falls in the range of songs that have a strong tendency towards grace: LET IT BE, A WHITER SHADE OF PALE, FIRE & RAIN. Paul has the song that is the ULTIMATE meanspeed song, “Times of Your Life,” where any sound wave analysis shows that the Kodak song was recorded right down the middle at 77.5 bpm. The difference, which is counterintuitive, is that the faster the song, by just that 2 beats per minute *increase* in speed marks the Too Long Goodbye/Trying Not To Cry/Homesick feeling of bittersweetness. Hence “Times of Your Life” is ‘laughter/tears, gather moments/while you may’ - a song that if the U.S. Army would play on a loop at Guantanamo would end all wars - is sweet with a bitter aftertaste.
(YOU’RE) HAVING MY BABY, by contrast, is a fun and graceful song, the emotive quality exposed simply by the slower speed. I’d love to hear a version of this at 82 beats per minute, and the new technology, now affordable, will let us all try that. I would imagine that as violently dated as the song sounds at 75 1/2 beats per minute, 82 bpm might be very kitsch and VERY FUNNY! If anyone tries this with success please let me know at meanspeed@gmail.com where I can check it out.

    Reviews

    Barnes & Noble

    The Dave Matthews Band have never been prone to doing the expected, and that mercurial nature is reflected in the unique structure of this, their first “greatest hits” collection. The quotation marks aren’t meant to indicate a lack of firepower in the grooves of the two-disc set but to point out that Matthews and company didn’t simply extract the most recognizable material from their previous releases. Yes, there are a dozen studio favorites tucked into the grooves of The Best of What’s Around’s first disc — notably “Crash into Me” and the full eight-minute version of “Crush” — but those offerings are augmented by a second CD laden with live material that’s seeing the light of day for the first time. The concert stage is the band’s natural habitat, and they stalk it with plenty of fire on these songs, which were culled from six years’ worth of shows dating back to a spiraling take on “Say Goodbye” recorded at Denver’s Mile High Stadium in the summer of 2000. Encompassing both quiet intensity — in evidence on “Everyday,” which features guest vocals by Matthews’s South African compatriot Vusi Malsahela — and raucous energy, which flows from the “Louie Louie” break in “Warehouse,” the eight-tune salvo not only showcases the best of the DMB so far; it also lets listeners know that they can expect plenty more volumes down the road. David Sprague

    All Music Guide

    For those just joining the cult surrounding the Dave Matthews Band, The Best of What’s Around, Vol. 1 is actually a stellar introduction. There are two discs in the package, one compiled from the group’s studio offerings and a live disc of previously unreleased material (at least “officially” unreleased). But then, this set is unique in another way also: the tracks were selected by DMB fans via the band’s website. This is the way best-of and compilation recordings should be issued — by fans, not the suits upstairs. The studio disc contains two cuts from each RCA-issued album, from Under the Table and Dreaming straight through to Stand Up. To everyone’s credit, there are two picks from Busted Stuff, a record that was undeserving of the ire it received from some members of the music press. Beginning at the beginning: “What Would You Say” and “Crash into Me” are obvious picks. (The latter is a track well deserving of its smash success, and one of those songs listeners will be hearing in whatever form radio goes for a very long time.) A thoroughly modern love song, its simple melody, hook, and chorus are memorable from the first time through. Other standouts from the first disc include “Crush,” “Grey Street,” “Grace Is Gone,” and “Hunger for the Great Light.” The live platter is wonderfully assembled, jumping back and forth across time from 2000 to 2006. All but one of the selections were recorded in the States, and the performances are stellar — even the version of “Ants Marching,” the most over-recorded song in DMB history and one listeners should all get a break from, is wonderfully refreshing here. There are a couple of tracks with guest performances: “Everyday” with the great Vusi Mahlasela on vocals, and a scorching read of “Louisiana Bayou” with the inimitable Robert Randolph on pedal steel (if you’ve never heard Randolph, get ready for a mind-blowing treat). Those uninitiated who are wondering what all the fuss has been about for the past decade get a real opportunity here to check out the very best of what’s been recorded, and get a small taste of the band live as well. Longtime fans who don’t already have the shows referenced here will want to pick it up for the live set alone. Thom Jurek.

Jamia Simone Nash (born August 21, 1996) is an American child singer and actress. She has sometimes been billed as just Jamia.

During the gala, a song that could be sang in different manners at different speeds was striking. In my house, my mom is fond of saying , “we were dysfunctional before it was fashionable to be that way.” While my mom did introduce me to the amazingly fantastic CBS drama that is all about family, what we have all come top realize in the United States at least is that even the functional families have their dysfunctions.

This song about keeping your chin up in the face of literally feeling like a motherless child is sung at the slow end of grace, where songs between 70-76 beats per minute generally emote poised grace, where the similar 63-69 bpm range tends to reflect a musician emoting ritual, ceremony and romance. The two featured young actors singing the song have overcome very hard times, and they are indeed happy, poised and graceful at this ceremony.

Meanspeed Music Education Is Honored To Be Featured in MUSIC FOR PICTURE

Music for Picture never let is know that they were going to give us a feature. So said, anytime someone really *gets* what we are all about makes all the work we put into the meanspeed conjecture worth it.

They make the point for us that we cannot make on our own, something we encourage everyone who reads our material on meanspeed.com and Wordpress’ meanspeedmusic.com: that tempo analysis sounds dry. in reality, it is the wettest thing going. As we have preached and tried to prove and begged for feedback as that on Music For Picture, when you learn yoru favorite speeds, understand the territoroes of speed, you will be able to control your mind in a new way. This is not for everyone, howeverm for lovers of contemporary music, it is the one of the best psychological tries one can make. Chemicals? No. Inflated psychiatry bills (a redindant concept)? Nope. Just an investement of your time in learning this meanspeed conjecture will be giving many a new power of mind that has the abiliy to soothe and enthuse. The most you will be shelling out for money is an occassional 99¢ download.
Be aware, if you think that the conjecture is wrong, or you follow the logic and the sound and do not believe hat the spectrum of speed territories is wrong, let us know at meanspeed@gmail.com.

His landmark drumming style, a propulsive almost surf-like repetitious groove defined the term ‘motorik’ and has had a profound influence on a huge range of artists such as Primal Scream, Stereolab, Wilco, David Bowie, The Boredoms and Four Tet. The fact that he was an original member of Kraftwerk, Neu and La Dusseldorf demonstrates his profound contribution to “modern rock” as it’s known today.

 All Night Along
November 19, 2007

I came across this amazing movie the other night. It’s a 1962 version of ‘Othello’ set in England using jazz musicans instead of royalty. Charlie Mingus, Dave Brubeck (and many other American musicans) are all “members of the court” . They’re having a big jam session in the background as bandleader “Johnny Cousin” plants the seeds of jealousy in the mind of a more prominent bandleader “Rex” about the fidelity of his retired singer wife “Delia Lane”. If you like Shakespeare and jazz this is a must see. Also performing at the “session” were Keith Christie, Bert Courtley, John Dankworth, Ray Dempsey, Allen Gantley, Paul Harris, Aurelius Rex, Tubby Hayes, Geoffrey Holder, Patrick McGoohan, Johnnie Cousin, Keith Michell, Barry Morgan, Kenny Napper and Colin Purbrook. -Peter

The Wall Street Journal today asks the painful question, “Are you listening to music more but enjoying it less?” Many people have had a conversation about declining audio quality in an mp3 era, but myspace’s ubiquity has taken the suckiness to another level. Os Mutantes for Shell
September 5, 2007

Os Mutantes were formed in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1966 by brothers Arnaldo Baptista (bass, keyboards and vocals) and Sérgio Dias (guitars and vocals) and lead singer Rita Lee. They released two albums heavily influenced by the Brazilian Tropicália movement, which blended Psychedelic Rock with other forms of art. Beck has sited them as a large influnece & David Byrne is a big fan. Take a look at some of their strange ads for Shell Oil.

 Bishop Allen`s EP a Month
August 20, 2007

When Justin & Christian mentioned they wanted to record an EP a month for their fans I thought this would be a fine test for “the hardest working band” in Brooklyn. We did some overdubs at the MFP and helped with their remote setup.
The EPS compilation “Broken String” has recently been released. Be sure to check them out when they come to your town. They undoubtedly plan to at some point. -Peter

 Ingmar`s Ads!
August 6, 2007

In 1951 Ingmar Bergman signed a contract with the Sunlight Corporation to make nine commercials for Bris soap . Each commercial had to contain one of two slogans: “Perspiration alone does not smell; it is the skin bacteria that cause the smell when they come in contact with perspiration” or “Bris kills the bacteria—no bacteria—no smell.” Bergman had fun making the commercials, though he had some difficulty fitting the Bris text into the films.

What better way to spend a sunny Sunday afternooon than dancing away to the sounds of some of Music For Picture’s favorite collaborators?

That’s what I did this weekend, heading to Central Park Summerstage to hear an awesome show by our friends the Brazilian Girls! The veteran rockers then ploughed through three of their ‘hits’. However the real centrepiece of the performance came before the closing ‘Big Bottom’ , before which ‘David St Hubbins’ introduced “every bass player in the known universe…”.
Joining the band were Foo Fighters’ Nate Mendell, Metallica’s Kirk Hammett, Bloc Party’s Gordon Moakes and Madonna’s bass player and producer Stuart Price. However, Metallica frontman James Hetfield and the entire Beastie Boys also made it onto the stage to join in the fun.

 Passing Strange
May 21, 2007

“Does the world really need another ‘musical for people who hate musicals,’” you ask? In this case, yes. NYC is lucky to have Stew’s play / concert / monologue Passing Strange at the Public Theater through June 3rd. “It dares in its playful way to honor those big questions that have set adolescent souls yearning for centuries,” Charles Isherwood writes in the New York Times. “How to discover and be true to your convictions, how to live a meaningful life, and still pay the bills, how to find the understanding you need with out throwing away the love you’re offered.” And the band seriously rocks. - Ben

“Anything For You,” written and performed by Gloria Estefan, meanemotion=grace, meanspeed=72.0

These are speed graphs of the song Anything For You, written and performed by Gloria Estefan.
The song sits in the middle of the meanemotion of grace—and in this song, in my opinion, you will hear a woman at peace with herself, in a deeply committed relationship, with a kindness that comes only out of deep self-confidence.

meanspeed=72.0 beats per minute
meanemotion=graceful
meanspace=0.833 seconds per beat
meanphase=1.20 cycles per second
meanpitch=307.20 Hertz, 77.5 cents above D4=293.665 Hertz and 22.5 cents below D#4/Eb4=311.127 Hertz.

The Psychology of the Speed and Momentum Crushing the Oppponent, The Psychology of the Speed of Foreboding Upon Feeling The Crush

The three songs represented on the charts below are showing you emotions as instant sheet music not for “dummies’” but rather for anyone who is inquisitive and determined to explore the effect of precise tempo insofar that speed territoriality itself dictates the more than the words themselves. To this rule there are exceptions of course, and this is called speed irony or tempo irony. For example, below, see how sad President William Jefferson Clinton looks inside a song that is played at the speed of victory: his stoic contemplation belies any type of result in Iowa last night. Similarly, see how the image of Mrs. Clinton inside a song at the speed of foreboding as it appears as though she is victorious not only does not ring true but almost bizarre.

By contrast, as many of the Last shall be First, Senator Obama’s appearance on the chart with Mary J. Blige in a song performed as a duo with Paul Hewson, also known as Sir Bono, David Evans, Larry Mullen Junior and Adam Clayton of Ireland looks enthusiastic.

The confidence in predicting of the deterministic element of tempo varies from speed to speed. I might be 44% likely to predict that a song that is really (not what Mixmeister gives you, with all due respect. Among the lack of integrity of people that will give you *real* speeds, let us go past the smarmy locals and go straight to the disingenuous source: Steven Jobs. A friend who is well connected, well funded, and for you women, well endowed - with a large family, of course - never seen his johnson, sorry - anyway, he said, “Steve Jobs is an [very mean tone taken *asshole*." I was floored. Not had I always thought Jobs the misunderstood benevolent bot genius, I thought he might be cool. Hell no. Any of you with "outdated" macs (those over 3 months old) who update to his newest OSX update - if you lose all your data? Shit! We warned ya! And the mac is a toy don't ya know. Microsoft, IBM, Google do all the work, Apple repackages it in a fancy yet smarmy way, like a nasty version of Sony products. As if: Sony parts did not have integration. Jobs came up with an iTunes system that is a scandal: you may only download once, despite their owning a copy of a song you *already bought but was lost on your hard drive because the new Tiger system blew up your "old" data, like you iTunes Library. The most ethical company I know is Audible.com, a company that sells books on recording by excellent readers at a fair price with enormous selections of everything. I bought Charlie Wilson's War, a 24 hour book in 2004, and I had erased it from my hard-drive for room, and wanted to download it before checking out the movie. Easily done: I go to the site--->My Library---->Download. Voila. You own it for life - or at least for the life of the company. And the only book club that was acceptable to Apple was Audible, and that price *should* have been steep in Audible's favor as they are every bit as ethical as iTunes is not. Of course, conspiracy theorists like myself if I've been outside too long would say that they are really the sane company, and in the future, to maintain revenue, with people revolting in masses against iTunes, Apple will bend to the same rule: If you ACCOUNT buys an album or a song, as long as you can prove that you have held the account from which you bought the music, you can download. Those rules of greed are obscene - as virtually all that is paid for mainly out of a morality play, as p2p is so easy, gets *punished* while Dr. Limewire has made $5,000 in DVD sales of the last concert ever by The Beatles.

Take that out a step way further. On his iTunes video 80 GB iPod, which is always breaking down - look out of it is not because then it's just going to die *completely* one day and the Apple Store twenty-something will say, "I'm sorry, that's what happens." Anyway, the iPod has an absolutely fantastic 200 lap stop watch on it that records two-hundred consecutive laps - a thousand calibrations on that iPod, with great software function and ease of use with music (I measure songs on the train - I was terribly excited about this watch. it even went out to the THIRD decimal place in seconds: while Nike, Seiko, Timex, and , well, everyone else stop at hundredths of seconds, the iPod does thousandths! One problem, two laughable results. The problem is that the lap button is in the middle of the iPod and goes down a distance of [X] number of diopters and hits “lap” - yet that button is raised and horribly inconsistent, so the problem is:
1) The time measurements are not even reliable to the 1ooths. I have many $10 watches that are far superior in a straight one lap digital count - the watch function does not work properly–nor can it, lest it is a touch screen version (like I am not going to buy it!); and
2) The idea of being unreliable out to the *thousandth* of a second is as absurd as if: you were 2-10 minutes to an 8 o’clock curtain, and upon being asked the time a man said: “It is seven hours, 56 minutes 44.78 seconds, or 3 minutes 56.22 seconds until 8!” where that man’s watch was good to go as far as the time being within 30 seconds of 7:57, but the “.78 seconds” is vanity and silliness and misleading - and Jobs sells this. Shameful. A Seiko stop watch is to an iTunes stopwatch what Air Force One is to that piece of crap John Denver flew into that mountain or even the Piper that Kennedy killed 2 sisters and himself, many say because he was a lousy pilot, his instrument rating not assured. And we all buy Steve Jobs because Bill Gates is supposed to be so “evil.” Wrong. Just like Google. Google is no more evil than MySpace or Facebook are “good.”
Your feedback has been encouraged to the maximum since the day we came online in August, 2004. Thank you for checking us out. The scale, which we call the Universal Tempo Scale created with mean speed music theory is:

Speed categories are territorial and predictable, yet only in this small range, essentially .5-2 Hertz, or 30 beats per minute (“bpm“) to 120. Speed ironies are a natural emergence and make for some of the most interesting music - they occur in every elevator we enter, every time we are put on hold on the telephone, every Starbucks song is pre-programmed to try to program you. Fight back - learn the real shit, on these pages, no money, no names, really: I don’t wanna even know ya- I just want to say - if you can master this theory, it is like carrying an invisible private limousine in your head. Then again, you can let the Industry shove Daughtry down your throat - your choice, sisters and brothers.
