The first chart, hand-drawn, was crafted in 1995 befoe I tried using a spreadsheet program--in fact, I was 7 years into meanspeed theory and I thought if people could "see" the speed movement more than just look at numbers and words, they (me too!) might be able to see what is going on in an improved manner. The sepia chart above was made 12 years later--as Jay-Z says, "it only gets better!"
